MAY 2019 ARRESTS
On May 12, 2019, at approximately 1:41 am, Mar-Mac Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective exhaust. During their contact, the officer detected signs of impairment. After participating in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Adam John Trenda, from Chippewa Falls, WI, was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail. Trenda is accused of Operating While Intoxicated. Assisting on scene was the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 13, 2019, at approximately 4:23 pm, Mar-Mac Police investigated a traffic complaint on Great River Road entering the corporate limits of McGregor. The officer discovered the accused vehicle, and based on the reported information, initiated a traffic stop. During the investigation, the officer detected an odor consistent to Marijuana and a Probable Cause search was initiated. During the search, the officer discovered several items used or attempted to be used with a controlled substance. Alex J. Craft, from Guttenberg, was cited and released. Craft is accused of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).
On May 15, 2019, at approximately 2:35 pm, Mar-Mac Police initiated a traffic stop in the city of Marquette on a vehicle displaying an expired registration. During the investigation, the Clayton County K9 Unit arrived and performed an open air sniff, which indicated the presence of a controlled substance and a Probable Cause search was initiated. During the search, a substance consistent to Marijuana and items used or attempted to be used with a controlled substance were found. Christopher Allan Doubek, from Guttenberg, was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail. Doubek is accused of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle. (Simple Misdemeanor).
On May 25, 2019, at approximately 11:28 pm, Mar-Mac Police initiated a traffic stop, in the city of McGregor, on a vehicle with a defective tail light. During their contact, the officer detected signs of impairment. At the conclusion of the investigation, John Lee Barnhart, from Garnavillo, was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail. Barnhart is accused of Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor).
On May 27, 2019, at approximately 8:24 pm, Mar-Mac Police responded to a residence on Walton Street, in the corporate limits of McGregor, for a reported trespassing complaint. During the investigation, Jeff Corlett, from McGregor, has unlawfully entered the residence. As law enforcement arrived, Corlett entered his vehicle and attempted to leave. During the investigation, Corlett display signs of impairment. Corlett was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail. Corlett is accused of Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor). Assisting on scene was the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 28, 2019, at approximately 4:00 pm, Mar-Mac Police initiated a traffic stop, in the corporate limits of McGregor, on a vehicle being operated by a driver failing to wear a safety belt. During their contact, the driver was found to have a suspended driving status. Tristan Levi Close was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail. Close is accused of Driving under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor), Operating a Non Registered Vehicle (Simple Misdemeanor), and Failing to Provide Proof of Financial Liability (Simple Misdemeanor).
